A few words on Lymphatic drainage from our owner.

“When I first heard of Lymphatic Drainage, they had me at

de-bloat .

As an OG gluten free-er I was always bloated and looking for a solution”.

My Brazilian heritage had always applauded lymphatic massage, it was the norm in my culture, but I hadn’t lived in Brazil since the age of eight, so I felt disconnected from this practice.

Eventually I listened to my Brazilian Australian community and found my very own “Brazilian Lymphatic Lady” here in Australia. I was shocked at the 1.5kg of water weight that I lost overnight after my first session. But beyond that I felt energised and had the most incredible sleep I’d had in months. I knew immediately I had come across something special here.

Technically lymphatic drainage massage encourages the natural drainage of the lymph. This aids in the detoxification of the body by filtering out waste products and dead cells from the tissues. How I like to explain it to my clients is by firstly asking them to think about the veins that pump blood through their bodies, then I ask them to imagine this as a sophisticated system, with a secondary set of veins pumping lymph fluid (toxic fluid) to their major lymph nodes for detoxification.

In a nutshell, this type of massage helps that system do its job more efficiently. You may not know it, but we’re all overloaded with toxins from everyday things like our daily deodorants, alcohol, the pesticides in our foods, chemicals in our makeup, fake tans and even just pollution in the air. Team that with high cortisol levels for most busy women, our bodies absolutely need the help.

During a lymphatic massage, we use thorough and careful manual movements over your entire body to kick-start this important cleanse and, more pleasingly, decrease inflammation. The end result? Clear thinking, a boost in hormone regulation, cellulite reduction and a bloat free, supple and relaxed body.

As I have connected to this style of body therapy over the years, I have personally witnessed so many levels of healing in my own body. In each session I realise that not only did I get to connect with my body, I also enjoyed the added benefit of the profound emotional and physical changes too. I slowly began to understand the place that massage therapy had in healing. Up until that point I was working on my mind and spirituality through things like yoga and talk-therapy (which are amazing) but I had never stopped long enough to connect to my body. I quickly started to feel better from the inside out, and I guess that’s where I got hooked.

Here at She’s So Well I have created massage journey’s that will give my clients the opportunity to do the same. I carefully tune in with an initial consultation and/or tarot guidance to understand what your body needs and to create a personalised approach to reach your version of optimal mental, emotional and spiritual health.

One of my biggest life lessons (of so many), is realising that if the journey doesn’t feel good, then the destination is pointless. How do we live in a way that the journey means just as much as the end result? And more importantly, that we don’t arrive at the destination thinking “is this it?”

I laugh, cry and bliss out with my clients. They know when they walk through the doors at She’s So Well that they’re in safe, caring hands. I am extremely passionate about the overall experience for my clients and to make sure they leave feeling better about themselves in every way possible, because that’s what I once needed. It’s the basis of “So Well” at She’s So Well.

We want your light shining bright.

Lot’s of Love, Dani.
